Born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 11, 1954, Rusty spent the last 29 years in North Richland Hills, where he built a life centered around family, friendship, laughter, and love. He had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a way of making people feel welcome and cared for. To know Rusty was to know loyalty, humor, and quiet strength.
Rusty found joy in life’s simple pleasures — celebrating holidays and milestones with the people he loved most, playing golf, riding his Harley Davidson, and taking pride in having one of the nicest yards in the neighborhood. He was a lifelong Cowboys fan who experienced every game with passion, whether cheering loudly or shaking his head in frustration.
More than anything, Rusty cherished time spent with family and friends. His presence brought comfort, familiarity, and love to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
In honor of Rusty’s memory, the family asks that donations be considered to Alzheimer’s or dementia research and care.
