Larry was born in Wichita, Kansas to Glenn Elmer and Elsie Mae Macy. He married Jill Carter in 1963. That same year, he began working for Boeing as an Electronics Engineer. By 1967, Larry and Jill rounded out their family with a boy (Troy) and girl (Cammi), and in 1968 they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he continued his career with Lockheed (Formerly General Dynamics). Jill also went to work there in 1978 and they both retired from Lockheed in 2001.
Larry was known as a mild mannered, but hard working man by his coworkers. At home his family saw the same with a side of dry humor that kept them laughing. He liked to "tinker" with all kinds of electronics, brightening their lives with his quirky "security" inventions. This may have driven Jill a little crazy. Being a natural with all things electronic he had a love for cutting edge technology. He installed a microwave oven in a late 70's kitchen update, and the early 80's brought the Apple IIe into his home before most people even knew what a computer was. He was especially thrilled when LEDs came on the scene. No longer concerned about wasting electricity, there was no shortage of light shows all over his house. When Larry was not inside thinking of new inventions he could be found on his tractor clearing brush, making walking paths and mowing. He enjoyed being outside and instilled in his kids a love for God's beautiful creation.
Larry was a believer in Jesus Christ and joined Jill in heaven on Friday June 23. He leaves behind his children,Troy Macy (Lisa) and Cammi O'Teter (Kevin), grandchildren, Maci Hindman (Danny), Colton O'Teter and Dawson O'Teter, great grandson, Linkin Hindman and sister Louise Harper (Paul) who rest in knowing they will be reunited with him some day.
