La Tericka was born October 27, 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas, the only child born to Frankie Lovette Graves Elder and Aubrey Howard. She attended Fort Worth public schools and received her high school diploma from O.D. Wyatt High School.
Although she was born with disabilities that caused medical doctors to predict her life expectancy of only nine years old, because of the love, dedication and care provided her by her mother and those who loved her, God blessed her to live until the age of thirty-three years old. Of her life span of thirty-three years (12,045 days), she was only out of her mother’s presence for a total of four days. There was certainly an attachment which meant that if you saw her mother Frankie you would definitely see La Tericka.
