Laura Vivian Stone Bishop, 98, of Fort Worth passed away December 7, 2014 at Parkview Health Center in Bedford. Celebration of Life: 1 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2014 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
She was born May 8, 1916 in Collin County to L.M. Cage Stone and Edna Eliza Stone. She married William Henry Bishop, her husband of 50 years, in Dallas and moved to Fort Worth in 1950 where she was a homemaker and raised her three children. She was a faithful member of Handley United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985. Survivors include two sons, William Charles Bishop and Lee Micajah "Mac" Bishop and one daughter, Wanda Lynne Bishop Rivas; three grandchildren, William Charles Bishop Jr., Diana Lea Bishop and Meredith Bishop Hicks and two great-grandchildren, Brandi Marie Bishop and Jeffrey Pierce Bishop.
