Laurie Diane Turner, born November 27,1957, in the old Catholic Hospital which is now known as John Peter Smith. After school Laurie went to work at Wyatt's Cafeteria and then went on to drive boats for the U.S Navy. While she was enlisted, she found love and married her husband, and they started a family in Georgia. Since then, Laurie has been a homemaker and a loving mom, sister, and friend, and spent her last days with family.
Laurie was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 4, 2025, and is now walking with our Heavenly Father. She is pain free, at peace, and reunited with her mom, sisters, and brothers at Home and awaiting for us all to join her one day.
She is preceded by her mother Nita Turner, sister Gale Baird, and brother Terry Nathan Turner.
She is survived by her father Ted Turner; children Britt Hammons and Amanda Alsup and her husband and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
