Lawanda Terrell Shobe

Lawanda Terrell Shobe, loving and devoted Christian wife, mother and MeeMaw, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, lovingly surrounded by her family. Lawanda was always full of life and was a fighter to the end. Lawanda recently celebrated her 80th birthday among her children and friends sharing love for her and the wonderful life she had lived. Lawanda was married for 50 years to Charles George Shobe, who preceded her in death in June 2003 and we know that she now walks the streets of glory with him and sits with him bass fishing in the best fishing spot of all. Lawanda raised four children who she leaves to carry on her legacy, Gary Don Shobe, Daniel Wayne "Sam" Shobe, Terrell Edward Shobe and Charla Sue Shobe, who are more than proud to be called her children. "She raised us in the Lord and made sure our roots were deep." She was a very proud MeeMaw to Justin Shobe and wife, Christina, Nathan Shobe, Brooke Shobe Schneider and husband, Timothy, Jessica Shobe LaRue and husband, Austin, and Cali Shobe; as well as Great-MeeMaw to Kylie, Landen, Dominic, Maverick and Benjamin. Her cup surely overflowed with joy, love and pride of all of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Foundation or to World Bible School Foundation.
