L.C. COLEMAN, age 78, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Thursday March 26, 2020. L.C. was born January 13, 1942 in Kaufman, Texas to the Parents of Mr. Leonard Coleman and Mrs. Letha Williams Coleman in Kaufman County. He attended Kemp Elementary School and Pyle High School in Kaufman, Texas. At the age of 21 he moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he lived with his cousins, Mr. Joe and Mrs. Elma Tate. He was employed at Montgomery Wards for 30 years and during this time he met and married Mrs. Eva Coleman in 1966. To this union 3 daughters were born. Brenda Coleman, Lisa Coleman and Rogenia Coleman 1 son was born to this union that preceded him in death Michael Lynn Coleman, he also was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Leonard and Letha Coleman, 5 siblings, Woodrow Coleman, Roosevelt Coleman, Edna Coleman, Ruthie Coleman Morris and Lillie Faye Coleman Brown, 3 nephews, Will Earl Coleman, Tony Brown and Gregory Brown all preceded him in death. Mr. L. C. Coleman was also employed at Pep Boy Automotive and central Freight Lines for a number of years until his health failed him. Mr. L. C. Coleman was a member of Greater Eleazer Baptist Church under the late Pastor Robert E. Dowell, Sr. He was presently under Pastor Lawrence Barrett.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 54 years, Mrs. Eva Coleman; daughters, Brenda Coleman, Lisa Coleman and Rogenia Coleman; grandchildren, Perry Coleman, Ashley Smith, David Smith (Alexia Douglas), Sonny Coleman (Dyneshia Hamilton), Joshua Coleman, Ja'Lisa Lise, Sha'Lissa Lise, Da'Quan Coleman and Ashanti Coleman; great grandchildren, Isaiah Smith, Chance Coleman, Chase Coleman, Skylar Smith and Brayle Sneed; nephew Glynn Coleman raised as a brother. ; special aunt Daisy Oakes; sister-in-laws, Mytle Henderson, Francis Walker and Ora Nell Dowell, Gloria Dowell and Yolanda Dowell.
