He was preceded in death by his wife, Ovella, of 55 years along with his parents and three siblings.
Survivors: Wife: Carol Johnston. Children: Dianne & Don Martin, Darius & Cindy Johnston, Elwyn & ReGina Johnston. Step-children: Karen & David Hess. Fifteen grandchildren. Nine great-grandchildren. Brothers: Winston Johnston and Don Johnston. Stepmother: Ola Mae Johnston.
