

Linda May Jones, age 75, was born November 8, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas, to C. E May Jr. and Helen Jane Burns. May, passed away peacefully at her home in Bedford, Texas, on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
A Visitation will be held at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Funeral Home, located at 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas, 76112, on December 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a Celebration of Life starting at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Linda was a gifted student and lifelong learner. She attended Texas Christian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1972, followed by an MBA in 1973. While at TCU, she was a proud member of Kappa Delta sorority, forming friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was also involved in a women’s sorority Beta Sigma Phi dedicated to community service, where she found purpose in giving back and building meaningful connections.
After meeting at TCU, on August 24, 1974, Linda married the love of her life, Phil Jones. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, service, and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Linda was deeply involved in Boy Scouts of America, serving faithfully with Troop 86 for decades. Both of her sons earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an achievement that brought her tremendous pride. She served as Advancement Chair for over 25 years, mentoring over 100 scouts to the rank of Eagle Scout.
Linda was also a highly accomplished calligrapher and a member of the Fort Worth, Dallas, and St. Louis Calligraphy Guilds. Through her beautiful lettering and artwork, especially wedding invitations she brought joy and lasting memories to many. Her artistic talent was matched by her generosity in sharing it.
She is survived by her husband Phil; her sons Randy and Brian; her daughter-in-law Christina; her beloved grandchildren Natalie and Luke; and her brother John.
Linda will be remembered for her intelligence, creativity, kindness, unwavering devotion to her family, and a lifetime of quiet service to others.
