

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial service: 2:30 p.m. Monday at Meadowbrook United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jim Chandler officiating. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.

Lloyd was born to parents James Albert Grimm and Patience Lillian Horne Grimm on May 22, 1917, in Hamilton. He attended Hamilton High School where he was on the football team. He also joined the archery team, which made their way to the finals in Austin. Lloyd and his wife, Ruth, met when she started school in Hamilton in 10th grade. Later they worked together in a bakery/cafe and were married in Hamilton on Jan. 28, 1939, and celebrated their 74th anniversary with their family this past January. He loved music, golf and woodworking. He crafted a number of items for his family and several walnut crosses for his church. Lloyd and Ruth moved to Fort Worth in 1942, along with their first child, Elaine, where he was employed by General Dynamics for several years, and then he worked as a printer/typesetter at Fort Worth Linotyping and later at Stafford Lowden. Lloyd and Ruth have been members of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and belong to the Bright Corner Sunday School Class. He had not been able to attend for some time and really missed it and all his friends there. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
Survivors: His wife, Ruth; children, Elaine Hall and Lloyd Jr.; grandchildren, Melinda Bernsen and her husband, Jeff, and Sharron Hall; his nieces, Julia Thompson and Kathy Clark and her husband, Doug, and her children; as well as numerous nieces and nephews by marriage, and their children.
