

Lloyd Elwood Yancy was born on November 12, 1974, in Lufkin, Texas. He entered eternal rest on January 9, 2026, at the age of 51. Lloyd lived a life rooted in faith, leadership, and service to others.
Raised in a family grounded in hard work and community involvement, Lloyd was greatly influenced by his father, who earned a degree in Agriculture and served as the Angelina County Agriculture Extension Agent for nearly 35 years. Following this legacy, Lloyd became a member of the Angelina County Livestock 4-H Club at the age of 9 and remained active until his high school graduation, developing discipline, responsibility, and leadership at an early age.
Lloyd attended Lufkin High School and graduated in 1993. He later earned a degree in International Business from Stephen F. Austin State University in the spring of 1997. At the age of 27, Lloyd became a Southeast Toyota Certified General Manager at Legacy Toyota, where he led with integrity, professionalism, and a genuine belief in people.
Lloyd was known for his generous heart and his commitment to opening doors for others. He enjoyed playing golf, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with family. Above all, Lloyd cherished time with his “Boyz,” Chase and Leo, who were the joy of his life.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd E. Yancy Sr. and Virginia Ann Yancy. Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory his son, Chase A. Yancy; his grandson, Leo A. Yancy; his twin brother, Floyd E. Yancy Jr.; his godson, Que Holmes (Ace); along with a host of other relatives and friends. Lloyd Elwood Yancy will be remembered for his faith, leadership, and lasting impact on all who knew and loved him.
