Lois "Nell" McDonald

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, with visitation 1 to 2 p.m. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.

Nell was born to John Samuel and Amanda Elrod on Sept. 5, 1926, in Mosheim. She married Robert A. McDonald in October 1945 and they celebrated 50 years together. She was a devoted wife and mother to five children. Nell was a member of First Baptist Church of White Settlement for 62 years and taught children's Sunday school for 58 years.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Hazel Johnson and Dorothy Norris.

Survivors: Children, Vicki Cooper and spouse, Jane Rogers, Kay McDonald, Randy McDonald and Mike McDonald of Fort Worth and John McDonald and spouse, Jim Craig, of Indian Wells, Calif.; grandchildren, Robert Cooper and wife, Paula, Jon-Marc McDonald, Grant McDonald and Brittany Martin; great-grandchildren, Amanda Cooper and Bobby Cooper; many nieces and nephews; and her friend of 82 years, Lanell Simpson.
