I just saw that Louie passed.  He was one of my favorite people I ever spent time with.  I played table tennis with him and the rest of the Barrel House bunch at lunchtime for most of my 14 years at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin.  As I told Louie my last day there, it truly was a privilege to compete with him and call him my friend.  I loved his stories; you could see the passion as he was also reliving it as he told it; you felt like you were there with him as it happened.  Louie was Texas State Champion 10 times - 6 years in a row.  Hopefully he'll have a table ready the next time we meet!

My condolences to the Lancer family. I just heard of Louie's passing today. He was a great friend and mentor to me at GD/Lockheed. I will never forget him.

Alyne and family, my deepest sympathy goes out to you all.  I spent a lot of time with Louie and was one who played Ping-Pong and Billiards with him.  Every minute was quite an experience and always a pleasure.  I've missed seeing Louie from the day he left Lockheed Martin... always a positive influence.  He'll be greatly missed.

Louie was the Master "teacher" at pool and I count myself lucky to have been coached by him.  He was also one heck of a domino player.    He was dedicated to his family and to work but most of all he was just the best all around caring guy that ever was.

Louie, It was a pleasure working with you all those years at the plant. You were the fastest tool hot shotter that ever lived. Use to love to hear your table tennis stories. anytime someone would say you were a great player you would always say I just play defense. Also loved to listen to your stories about growing up in Fort Worth. You will be greatly missed.

Mr. Lancer, You started at Lockheed Martin before I was born. You were a Great Mentor and have left some mighty big shoes to fill. It has been a pleasure to know and work with you for my 36 years at Lockheed Martin.

Louie and I worked side by side for many years. Unfortunately, we lost contact after we both retired, but I will always remember him as a good friend that will be missed by all who knew him.

Lou was a great co-worker and friend. He had a passion for table tennis and Lou would provide his expertise and knowledge on the strategy of the game to those that wanted to learn more about the sport. Lou was also an excellent pool player and shared many stories on his competitive games with other players. 

He always demonstrated a sense of urgency at work and was a proactive thinking person. Lou had set-up pager signals with his co-workers so that he could deliver product from one area to the next. Lou wanted to ensure that his delivery and pick-ups were quick because building the aircraft was number one to him. He was a dedicated employee and he loved his job.

Lou was proud of his parents' heritage and was full of pride when he talked about his wife, children, and grandson! 

May God grant Lou eternal rest and peace, give his family strength during their time of need, and be with his family as they grieve their loss. Lou will be missed.

Robin and family, so sorry to hear of your loss. It was great having neighbors like you growing up. Our family will keep you in prayer.
