

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lynne Ellen McCoy who left us on May 27, 2025, at the age of 72. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born on October 26, 1952, in Brooklyn New York, Lynne was the daughter of Marie and Leonard Scotto. Throughout her life, Lynne was known for her warmth, creativity and unwavering devotion to her family, as well as her caring manner toward everyone she met. She always took the time to connect with others and made it a point to truly know them.
Lynne managed a corporate travel agency in Olathe, Kansas before moving to Texas in 1996. She served on the Water Service Board in Willow Park, Texas, and contributed to the Community Garden, helping to establish the gardens at the city building. She also volunteered for Rape Crises in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, home decoration, crafting, artwork, stock market and conversation. Her talents brought joy and comfort to those around her. Nothing was more important to Lynne than her family and close friends.
Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Randy S McCoy, Fort Worth, Texas, daughter Casey Mahan, son in law Brian Mahan and grandchild Cayden Mahan of Celina Texas. Daughter Tara Smith, son in law Shane Smith and granddaughter Aurora Smith of Prosper Texas. Brother Leonard Scotto and wife Mel Dimoush of Lawrence Kansas, and brother Rick Scotto and wife Martha Bennett of Dallas, Texas, and many more family and friends.
Lynne Ellen McCoy was preceded in death by father Leonard Scotto, mother Marie Scotto, and uncles Robert and Sonny De Matteo.
The family appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Lynne’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
