Mae Elizabeth "Liz" Williams

Born on August 11, 1946, to Lloyd and Ola Mae Christopher in Wilson, TX, Liz was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years Tom Williams, cherished daughter Amy Garner and her brother Curtis Christopher. She is survived by her loving daughters Merri Brown and her husband Steve and children Nathan and Cora, daughter Betsy Strauss and her husband Jason and children Andy, Alyssa and Audrey, son-in-law Norm Garner and children Clara, Hannah, Sophia, Felicia and Zac. Her sisters Mary Roe, Elaine and John Traugott, Kathy and Tim Barta, Marilyn Rodriguez and brother Robert & Deanna Christopher.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Liz, known as “Nana” to all, touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.

Liz‘s life was marked by Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” She was a prayer warrior and faithfully loved Jesus with all her heart. She trusted Him with the story of her life, and with the hearts of her kids and grandkids. And she never failed to point to the faithfulness of Jesus.

Liz loved sunflowers, angels, and unsweet tea with Splenda, but most of all, she loved to graft everyone into her family with smiles, hugs, and sweet encouragements. She prayed fervently and intentionally for everyone she met. Know that she continues to do so today.
