Marcia was born in San Fernando, California on 1-24-48 to parents Rex and Myra Underwood. They raised her in Southern California and Marcia met her future husband, Ernest Ray Inman, Jr. (Ray) in high school.
Ray and Marcia were married on May 6th, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was full of love and family and lasted for 50 years. They were separated only by Ray’s death in 2017. They are reunited at last.
Marcia had many jobs over the years including working for the Simi Valley school district in risk management. In this position she was able to become acquainted with many of her children’s teachers as well as attendance clerks making it difficult for the kids to get away with anything. After moving to Texas Marcia became a docent at Thistle Hill in Fort Worth. She loved historic homes and found this job to be very rewarding. Marcia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she played the organ. In addition to music Marcia also enjoyed genealogy. Marcia’s personality and humor were very endearing, and she was well loved at all of her jobs over the years.
No job was taken more seriously by Maria then raising her and Ray’s 4 children who survive her: Wendi Beardsley and husband Robert Beardsley, Debora Inman and wife Sherry Williamson, Jeremy Inman and fiancé Kimberly Moore, and her youngest by 17 minutes Jeffry Inman.
No job was more cherished by Marcia then being a grandmother to her grandchildren: Morgan and Caitlin Inman (Jeffry); Bethany and Brendan Beardsley (Wendi); and Silas, Finn and Jasper Inman (Debora).
She is also survived by her beloved pets Daphne and Baxter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on 1-11-24 at 5001 Alta Mesa, Fort Worth, Texas 76133. After the service a procession will take her to Laurel Land in Fort Worth for burial.
