It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcus Kevin Rodrick, who left us on February 15, 2026, at the age of 59. He was a beloved husband, father, PaPaw, and friend, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on September 18, 1966, in Roswell, New Mexico, Marcus was the son of Paul and Sandra Rodrick. Throughout his life, Marcus was known for being a loyal friend and for the deep love he had for his family. He devoted his time and energy to those he loved most, but his true passion was serving as an umpire for girls’ fast pitch softball. For over 20 years, Marcus dedicated himself to the game he loved, mentoring young athletes, building lasting friendships, and becoming a respected and familiar presence on the field. The softball community gave Marcus and Michelle another family—one they cherished dearly.
Marcus is survived by his wife and best friend, Michelle; his sons Jeremy Rodrick (Jessica), Aaron Rodrick, Logan Rodrick (Delayne), and William Witthaus; his cherished grandchildren Faith, Lincoln, Dax, and Ronan Rodrick; his brother Brett Rodrick (Rhonda); his father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Sandy Adamson; his brother-in-law, Michael Adamson; his nephews Brett Rodrick Jr. (Monica) and Seth Rodrick (Bre); his great-nieces Sage, Harper, and Millie Rodrick; and many more family members and friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sandra Rodrick, and his son, Weston Witthaus.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25th from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Church, 325 NW Renfro St., Burleson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Burleson Animal Shelter in Marcus’ name.
Whether on the softball field or at home with his family, Marcus showed up fully, loved deeply, and left a mark that will never fade.
