Margaret Amos

LIFE REFLECTIONS...

Eddie MargaretAmos was born Eddie Margaret Nelson July 21, 1941, in Columbus, TX to Garland Nelson, Sr. and Mrs. Ruby Moore-Nelson. After her mom was called home Maragret helped raise and care for her younger siblings.

She went by Maragert because she thought Eddie was a boy's name, attended Wharton Junior College and also was a substitute teacher for the Rice Independent School District. She also spent over a decade working for the Visiting Nurses Association as an Aide helping others.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also was never too busy to lend a listening ear. She also loved watching sports and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. You could find her on a Sunday afternoon cheering for her team.

On November 24, 2021, she departed this earthly life for her heavenly life. She will be reunited with her mother, Ruby Moore-Nelson; her father, Garland Nelson Sr.; her husband, Charlie "Sonny" Amos; her son Henry Morgan Jr; her daughter, Carolyn; her brothers Garland Nelson Jr and Marshall Nelson; and sister, Sandra Ashton, who all preceded her in death.

Her lasting impression and beautiful memories will be cherished by her children. Daughters:

Margaret Duffey(Samuel) of Ft Worth, TX.; Rose Wright (Benjamin) Ft. Worth, TX; Caroline Morgan, San Francisco, CA.; Jessica Helm, Garland, TX.; Sonia Amos, Grand Prairie, TX, Sons: David Morgan, Ft Worth, TX; Brian Amos (Terri) Haskell, TX.

Sisters: Hazel Yates, Ft Worth, TX,; Brenda Bennet of San Antonio, TX, Sharon Nelson and Barbara Nelson both of Houston, TX. and Jeno Hargrove (Leo) of Columbus, TX. One brother, Winston Nelson(Keisha) of Ardmore, OK. and a host of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
