Yesterday marked five years since she’s been gone, every thing was a reminder of her that day.  I hope she’s resting up and looking down proud. I love you grandma

My favorite memory is the holidays when we would go up there and visit her, and we’d go to church and sit around her house listen/watching Christian speakers. She was such a bright light. Her being the one that got me into the the gospel of God. Missing you everyday grandma Margaret

We had no clue Mrs.Shelby passed away.  Mrs. Shelby is the grandmother of my son Alex. I would like to give Shawn and all the family our condolences.  We are praying for you all. 

30 years ago, Margaret Stewart Shelby and I sat down together after a funeral service. We talked about how so many people wait until death to get together and we promised one another we wouldn’t let that happen. We started the Pajama Party Reunion, that included me, Hazel Washington Wiltz , Ella Mae Beck Gooden (deceased), Rozinia Eldridge Brown,  Linda Diane Ross Robinson, Diane Russell Moore, Elaine Ross McDonald, Wanda Lewis Curry, Barbara Smith Fortune, Rita Smith Nelson, Anna Hutchins Rocquemore, Rauslyn Bowens Canady and our beloved prayer leader, Margaret Stewart Shelby (now gone to Glory). 

It seems just fitting that on the 30th anniversary of that day we celebrate her home going, We hold the memory of Margaret and appreciate the bond that we created. As believers and sisters in Christ we will always love and cherish you in spirit and in truth. In Jesus name. Amen.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead you shall be saved. Romans 10:9. 

Margaret was one of my closest dear friends since childhood.  We would often have long conversations about our lives and journey to heaven.  She has spent the night at my house at least 10 times so that’s how close we were the last few years. Did we always agree? No, but I loved her more than being right. I was there for her for a few of the last not so good years as we grew closer. Although she was the subject of conversation because of her righteousness, she was God’s soldier first. I am better for knowing her, one reason I am strong because I learned from her.  Well done! Love you, to eternity.  RIP my sista til we meet again in heaven!💕




Margaret was a beautiful person. I always called her a song bird. I loved to hear her sing gospel songs. My favorite was a Christmas song Oh Holy night.  She will be missed.  God bless her family. 

Margeret was my classmate. She was one of my favorite people. We attended church together. I have such warm memories of her during our teen years and young adulthood

I remember one prom night. What happens in the can stays in the can.  You are missed.

To Margaret's family: We were saddened to learn that sweet Margaret had passed from this world but rejoice knowing that she is healed and in the presence of her Lord Jesus singing His praises to her heart's content.
