Margie Nell Mosee made her debut in the world on July 7, 1922 in Georgetown, TX to Leola Mosee (née Williams) and John Mosee as the fourth of 13 children. She was educated and graduated from high school in Georgetown ISD. She was baptized and raised in the light of Christ as a young child. It was in her late teens she met the love of her life, Clarence Jones.
At the end of WWII, Clarence and Margie were joined in holy matrimony after he was honorably discharged from the Army. They moved to Austin and began the adventure of married life together. They expanded their family with the arrival of their two sons, Winfield and Robert Jones. From there, they lived and worked in south Texas until Clarence moved the family to Fort Worth, Texas in 1968.
It was in Fort Worth that she began her career in education. She obtained her Associates degree in education from Tarrant County Community College. As a teacher’s aide she taught with children at different grade levels before retiring in 1988. According to her, the pre-kindergarten classes were near and dear to her heart. During that time, she was very active in the local church as vice president of the Adult and Junior Usher Boards and member of the Women’s Auxiliary Board at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. With the homegoing of Clarence Jones, she moved to Houston to be with her sons and their families until the Lord called her home.
Margie was preceded in death by her father, mother, all of her siblings, her husband, Clarence Jones and her grandson, Donald Sams, Jr.
She is survived by her loving sons, Winfield Jones (Myra) and Robert Jones; her grandchildren, Sonia Jones, Carlos Demmerritte, Ashley Jones (Deonte), CaZsa Jones, Kevin Jones, and Brittny Mitchell (Adonis); her great grandchildren, Cadence, Kevin Jr., Carian, Karson, Kodie, Harper and Maxwell; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives who loved her..
