A Graveside Service will be held at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 am.
She was born on May 20,1936 in her grandparents home in Sanger, Texas. She later moved to Fort Worth, where she met the love of her life, Buster “Buppy” Palmer. They shared 43 wonderful years together until his passing in 2009. Together, Maw Maw and Buppy raised or helped raise 9 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren, creating a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Maw Maw spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker, but her greatest gift was making everyone feel at home. She lived by a simple open door policy: there was always room at her table, a place in her heart, and love enough for everyone.
Her home was a gathering place, her love unconditional, and her family was her greatest joy. Though her chair at the table may be empty, the love she shared will forever fill the hearts of those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Buster Palmer, her parents Leonard and Edith Telford, her daughter Sharen Simmons and great granddaughter Scarlet Rose.
Margie is survived by her daughter Karen Frenzel and boyfriend David Hicks, son Marc Palmer and wife Meredith, daughter Marty Douglas and husband Ron, and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
