Maria Lawrence

Maria Radmacher Lawrence, 95, of Bedford, TX, a retired homemaker, passed away Tuesday October 12, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 9:00am Friday October 22, at the D-FW National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Thursday October 21 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel in N. Richland Hills. Maria was born in April of 1926 in Alt-Fratautz, Romania, but grew up in Germany. After marrying she emigrated to America and spent most of her life as an army wife and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and gardening. In her later years at her retirement center, she enjoyed bingo, listening to music, and chatting with friends.

SURVIVORS: Maria is survived by her daughter Jeanne Ackermann and husband Harvey; her granddaughters Desiree Hershon and partner Michael Shur, and Stephanie Quinn and husband Michael; her grandson Michael Ackermann and wife Terri; her great-grandchildren Devon Ackermann, William Ackermann, Lexi Quinn, McKenna Quinn, and Hunter Quinn; and many nieces and nephews in Germany.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents Ludwig and Wilhelmine Radmacher; her sister Anna Radmacher; and her brother Hans Radmacher; her husband of 56 years James C. Lawrence; and her daughter Linda Lawrence.
