Marianne Brown

A graveside service will be held at 10am on December 4th.

Marianne was born in Fort Worth, TX to Marie and Jimmy (Howard) Dodd on January 23rd, 1948. She married Joe B. Brown in January 1971. They had 2 children before divorcing in 1983. She was a life-long proud Texan, as well as a member of the Chickasaw Nation and a direct descendant of Jesse Chisholm. She loved cheering on her son, Ben, at every single soccer game from first grade to twelfth. She loved ballet and the theater as a child, performing at Casa Mañana in the round and was always very supportive of her daughter Elizabeth’s dance career. She loved to garden and was an avid reader. Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she will be greatly missed especially at Christmastime, which she always made so special.

Marianne is preceded in death by her parents and her cousin, Jackie Baker.

Marianne is survived by her children Ben Brown and his wife Jeannette Brown; Elizabeth Hudec and her husband David Hudec; three beloved grandchildren and several cousins.
