

She was born in Peoria, Illinois, graduated from Bradford High School, Bradford, Illinois in 1958. She married Floyd M. Walker on July 12, 1958 and shortly thereafter began raising a family. After moving to Aberdeen, Mississippi in 1962 she graduated with a Nursing degree in May, 1972. Marianne continued to serve others over the next 30 years until retiring in 1996. They moved to Burleson, Texas in 1983 and she continued her nursing career with Kaiser Permanente and then volunteering at Huguley Medical Center in later years. Marianne was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and the Daughters of St Ann’s for 41 years.
Marianne enjoyed traveling and volunteering her time with various Non Profit Groups in the Burleson Community. Marianne especially loved to travel to the Florida and Alabama beaches starting a tradition of an annual family beach trip. She loved her family and friends that she grew up with; often traveling to Illinois and Mississippi to visit and spend time with her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was the time spent with family at the Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Floyd M. Walker. She is survived by her three children, Deborah Ann Walker, Hamilton, MS; Richard E. (Ann) Walker of Burleson TX, Donna Kay (Chris) Spivey of Burleson, TX. Six grandchildren; Debbie Jean (Adam) Dobbs Hamilton MS; Hank (Leslie) Harrington, Hamilton, MS; Katie Allen Wade (John Gomez) Grandview, TX; Michael Lee Wade Fort Worth Texas, Richard (Reese) Walker, Burleson Texas and Hannah Marie Walker Burleson Texas. Great Grandkids Laney and Walker Harrington Hamilton MS; Brayden Dillworth, Hamilton MS and James Allen Gomez, Grandview, Texas.
