

Marie Connally was born October 13, 1933 to the late parents of AZ Wade and Effie Wade. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She obtained her high school diploma from I. M. Terrell High School, graduating in 1952. She attended many workshops to further her career in education. She attended seminars in Houston, Texas (1970), Wichita Fall, Texas (1971), SMU Dallas, Texas (1972), Texas Wesleyan College, Fort Worth, Texas (1975) and I. M. Terrell Trade School, Fort Worth, Texas (1975, In March of 1975 she taught community residents basic reading, writing and arithmetic in the Dunbar High School after school program. Her salary was $8.00 per hour. She also worked as a bus driver for the Fort Worth Independent School District. She was also an avid seamstress. Marie was a faithful member of Beth Eden Baptist Church. Even after becoming ill in August of 2024, she did not let her illness stop her. She continued attending Sunday Service and Friday Bible Study online. When her illness made her unable to get online, her Seniors on the Move kept her informed. Marie Connally was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved playing Bid-Wiz every Friday night until she was unable to play. Those who remain behind are her children; Mugtarid Qadir, Laverne Macon (Earl), Lenneace Norris (Larry), Donna Bridges (Robert) ; grandchildren, Larry White, Ray Jackson, Jr., Shasta Phillips, Shelly Hersley, Barry Youngblood, Lance Strahan, Mordan Bridges, Anthony Bridges, and Aisha Qadir; great-grandchildren, Lavontre White, LaChea Bridges, Asia Jackson, Jarrod Robinson, Cameron Crossley, Jaylon Byrd, Kelviaun Mitchell Johnson, and James Wilson, great-great grandchildren, Jasmyn McCann, Desmariah McCann, Destyenn McCann, Taylor Jackson, Serenity Youngblood, Barry Youngblood, Kaislei Qadir, Kaide Qadir and Kaisee Qadir; great-great-great grandchildren, London McCann and Xyra Robinson and a host of other relatives and friends.
