Mary Martinez Guel

Mary M. Guel, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021. She was born April 7, 1935 to Narciso and Frances Martinez in Breckenridge Texas. As a teenager while visiting in Chicago she met and married her longtime friend and love, Jose Prisiliano Guel, who preceded her in death in 1993. For many years Mary worked at Dollar General until her passing where she loved to love on people. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Mary is survived by her sisters: Irene Martinez and Silvia Wagnon. Brothers: Robert Martinez, Steven Martinez, Richard Martinez, and Benjamin Martinez. Much loved mother of: Maria del Carmen Guel, Jose Carlos Guel, Jose Armando Guel and wife Patricia Guel. She leaves behind 13 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren…. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.

Viewing/Funeral will be held October 27, 2021 from 12pm - 3pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76134.

Mary’s favorite color was purple…. Please honor her by wearing yours if you choose to on this day.
