My name is Mary Josephine Hendrix. I took the hand of the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2016 at the age of 92. Graveside service 2 pm Monday at Laurel Land Memorial Park. My family will welcome visitors and guests from 12 pm until 2 pm Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. I was born in Alvarado to Charlie and Amy Packwood on September 5, 1924. I graduated from Fort Worth Polytechnic High School in 1943 and went to work for Montgomery Ward soon afterwards. God sent me Odean Hendrix and on July 29, 1961 we were married at the courthouse in Cleburne. We shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. I retired from Montgomery Ward in 1986 after 43 years. I have joined in Heaven my husband, Odean; parents and a sister, Earlene Tucker. I have left behind to remember me my children, Johnny Hendrix and wife Fredia, Cynthia Grue and husband Robert, Mary Huff and husband David; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and dear friends.
