Mary "Memaw" Herrera

A Rosary will be held on Monday, February 19th at 9:30am at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 5550 E. Lancaster Ave Fort Worth, 76112, with a Visitation from 10am to 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11am, with Father Hathaway officiating. Burial to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery with a Reception afterwards at the Shannon Rose Hill reception area.

Mary (Memaw) was born in Waco, Texas to Martin Sr. and Rosa Vasquez on September 10, 1924.

Growing up in Waco she attended St. Francis on the Brazos in her formative years with her parents and siblings. After moving to Fort Worth she was a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church where she enjoyed volunteering her time in various organizations. She then attended St. Rita’s Catholic Church where she participated in many senior social activities.

Her passion was being outdoors and gardening as well as spending time with her children.

Preceded in death by brothers Martin, Benny, Gus and sister Francis.

Memaw is survived by her children Virginia Treadway, Mario Herrera, Richard Herrera, David and Kay Herrera, Patricia and Randy Sanders, Michael and Janna Herrera.

Grandchildren Jason Herrera, Brian Herrera, wife Angela, Amy Treadway, Jeremy Walters, wife Jennifer, Reina Dee Herrera, Travis Treadway, wife Candi, Michael Walters, wife Clarisa, Derek Sanders, Josh Sanders, Elisabeth Very, husband Reed, Matthew Treadway, wife Rachel, Kristina Herrera.

Great-Grandchildren Brittany Herrera, Brayden Herrera, Brenley Herrera, Ashleigh Mickens, husband Jahlil, Natalie Vickers, Jaxon Treadway, Aiden Vickers, Finley Sanders, Denton Sanders. Great-Great Grandchildren Zakkaiah Mickens, Zayvian Mickens.
