A Graveside Service for Mary will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
Mary Layne was born on April 10, 1928, in Fort Worth, Texas, to parents Albert and Edith Cobb. She enjoyed 27 years teaching science at Trimble Tech and Eastern Hill High Schools. After retirement, she spent time volunteering at JPS Hospital and the East Branch Library, but also loved being involved in her granddaughters’ lives. Her hobbies included reading and crossword puzzles.
She is predeceased by her son Winston Layne and is survived by daughter Lynda Hardison and granddaughters Rachel Hardison and Meghan Hardison.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Mission Arlington.
