Mary Louise Lipscomb (Jeter), 81, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2025, in Ft. Worth, TX. Mary was born in Union, South Carolina on October 27, 1943, to parents Edward and Evelyn Jeter. She married the love of her life, Norman Lipscomb, on January 20, 1963.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved husband of years.
Mary's love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was unparalleled. She had a long love of caring for other people’s children, going to her family's sporting events, attending church, and online shopping.
Mary had a way of sharing her sweet spirit, making everyone laugh, showing her stubborn streak and giving any time she had the chance to being a light to everyone that knew her. She overcame breast cancer, heartache, and many other obstacles, however, she was still able to show us what a fighter she truly was, while also teaching us how to have strength, bravery, and how to love through it all. She will be dearly missed, but we have peace knowing she is reunited with the love of her life and is no longer suffering.
She is survived by her two children: Marla Sapp (Robert) and Norman Trarell Lipscomb (Heather); seven grandchildren: Shanna Sapp (Edward), Mary Tamara Sapp, Robert Sapp (Casandria), Sasha Lipscomb (Rita), Andre Lipscomb, Eli Veloz, and Ayden Veloz; and four great grandchildren: Emersyn White, Ethan White, Madisyn Baylor, and Lennox Sapp. Mary is also survived by her nieces and long list of family and friends.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, followed by a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
