My Name is Mary E. Williams and my journey began on January 4, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, born to the loving arms of my father, Luellis "Daddy" Williams and my mother, Balanche "Mother" Williams.
I was raised in faith, strength, and love, values I carried with me throughout my life. I worked as a seamstress for many years for Hudson & Rob Co. I devoted myself to caring for others as a homemaker and a trusted nanny, finding joy in both the simple and sacred work of raising children and nourishing souls. Many knew me best for my baking, cooking, or sewing something special with love. Whether I was in the kitchen or simply sitting beside you, I always found away to keep your heart full' usually with a warm plate, a soft laugh, or my smile.
I was a proud and faithful member of Gideon Baptist Church, where I worshipped and served with my heart wide open. My home was always open too. And I was alone, no matter the day, I would silently pray for each and every one of you.
I was blessed with a legacy that continues through I leave behind my only cherished sister, Loretha Potts, 4 incredible children, Doretha Gilliam, Patricia Fant, Annette Bailey and Jerry Bailey; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of me forward.
