It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Melba Joyce Glenn Garrett, who left us on August 6, 2026 at the age of 85. She was a beloved mother and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born on January 18, 1941 in Kermit, Texas, Melba Garrett was the child of Robert Glenn and Halline Foster. Throughout her life, Melba Garrett devoted her time to nursing, family and friends, and her love for plants and horses.
Melba Garrett is survived by her children Debra Duran, Dalena Magee, Scott Garrett, Deidra Smithwick, Chris Garrett, David Garrett, Heather Butler, Danissa McDonald, James Garrett, Keith Garrett, their spouses and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Melba was preceded in death by Willard Clinton Garrett Sr, her son, Willard Clinton Garrett Jr., mother Halline Foster, and father Robert Glenn.
