Melody Kay Yadon

Melody K. (Rushing) Yadon of Granbury, Texas passed away on February 10, 2021.
Melody was born April 13, 1961 in Fort Worth to Clifton and Mary Rushing. She spent her childhood in Fort Worth and Burleson, Texas, and was a graduate of Burleson High School. Melody moved to Granbury in 1984 where she held several administrative jobs and most recently was employed as a driver for a medical transport service.
Melody enjoyed being outdoors in the garden or spending time on the Gulf coast walking on the beach. She had a life-long love of animals and rescued many homeless dogs and cats.
Melody was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Beverly Reese and her husband David Andra of Norman, Oklahoma, niece Elizabeth Farrar, her husband Abe, and children Keegan and Hattie of Newcastle Oklahoma; and by Clay and Clayton Yadon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home at Last Animal Haven in Godley, Texas, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
The family would like to thank the Granbury Care Center and Envoy Hospice who treated Melody with love and kindness.
