Michael James Sukraw

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael James Sukraw, who left us on May 19, 2026 at the age of 43. He was a beloved father and friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born on March 17, 1983 in Rapid City, SD, Michael James Sukraw was the child of Kent Sukraw and Peggy Neiger. Throughout his life, Michael was known for his off-beat sense of humor, big hugs, and going full out in everything he did. He was a devoted Chief in the US Navy, a loving father, and full-fledged nerd. He devoted his time and energy to the things he loved most — Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, video games, riding motorcycles, and napping — and he loved them best when he was doing them with his kids.

Michael James Sukraw is survived with deep sorrow by his children Elijah, Gabrielle, and William Sukraw; his brother Kevin Sukraw; his sister Kelly Sukraw; his nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends.

The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Michael James Sukraw’s life on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Land's Chapel of Chimes. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Michael James Sukraw’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
