Cody was born on April 15, 1977 in Fort Worth, Texas to Maria Elaine Humphreys and Kenneth Randall Yow. He graduated from Boswell High School in 1995 and later played baseball at Eastfield College in Dallas, Texas. He married Lisa Windwehen on March 28, 2014 in College Station, Texas, where they made their home together. Cody enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially baseball. He loved the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also an avid OU fan.

Cody is survived by his wife, Lisa Yow, daughter Payton Marie Yow, father Randy Yow, sister Jennifer Yow Baughman and husband Casey Baughman, brother Jake Traylor and wife Morgan Traylor, in-laws John and Rebecca Windwehen, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Laura and Davis Windwehen, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jennifer and Tyler Supak and numerous nieces & nephews.

Cody is proceeded in death by his mother Maria Elaine Humphreys, grandmother Barbara Yow and grandfather Kenneth Yow.
