Mildred Jean Gilliland

Mildred Jean Gilliland, 85, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born November 19,1937 in Cooper, Delta County to parents Leo Stephens and Bertha J Stephens.

Married to Tommy Gilliland for 37 years he passed away June 18, 1991. Mildred known as Jean to her family and friends was a housewife, seamstress and loving mother, she also was a Pastors wife, and at the age of 55 she obtained her GED and went to work for Kelly Moore Paint as a shipping clerk. Upon retirement she looked for something to occupy her time and began making jewelry. Which turned into an opportunity for her to meet many people across D/FW and many ladies wear her jewelry creations today.

Preceded in death by her husband Tommy Gilliland, parents Leo and Bertha Stephens, sister Dorothy Stephens, and a grandchild Sarah Williams.

She is survived by her children Deborah Webb, Kathy Nevins, Tim Gilliland, Mark Gilliland and Rebecca Gilliland, brother Ed Stephens, and grandchildren John David Nevins, Kristyn Ducas, Tommy Williams, Matthew Williams, Casandra Gilliland, Michael Gilliland and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Mildred will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Laurel Land Fort Worth, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A graveside service will occur Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
