Minnie CHAMBERS, age 93, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Thursday September 12, 2019. Minnie was born September 11, 1926 in Atlanta, Texas. Sister Minnie was a faithful member of New Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.A. Toliver.

The Celebration of Her life will be on Saturday, September 21, 2019 11:00 AM at New Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 East Rosedale St. Reverend R.A. Toliver Pastor.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Patricia L. Brooks, Henrietta L. Brooks, Henry Brooks, Jr. (Cathleen) and Brenda Brooks Anderson (Samuel); sister-in-laws, Delois Watkins and Agnes Green; brother-in-law, Ulysses Butts; her good friend Lucille McGill; her caretaker and granddaughter Keitheisha Turner; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.

Biography

Minnie Mae Green Was born September 11, 1926 in Atlanta, Texas to the parentage of Aaron and Arena Green. She was the fourth of five children. Minnie graduated from Fairview High School in Linden ISD where she played basketball and was good at it. She was a very ambitious and talented young woman. She decided to relocate to Fort Worth at an early age.

Minnie joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late C.C. Carson where she was an active member. She later joined New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leardership of Pastor R.A. Toliver where she was a very dedicated and active member. Minnie loved the Lord and her Pastor.

Minnie Retired from Shady Oaks Country Club. She also worked at the Fort Worth Linen Service and for Mr. & Mrs. Eddie Childs (once part owners of Texas Rangers).

Minnie never met a stranger. She loved to talk and enjoyed making others laugh. On April 19, 1955 Minnie married Henry Brooks, Sr. and to this union four children were born.

She is preceded in death by her parents Aaron and Arena Green, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 3 nieces and 1 great niece.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; children, Patricia L. Brooks, Henrietta L. Brooks, Henry Brooks, Jr. (Cathleen), and Brenda Brooks Anderson (Samuel); sisters in law, Delois Watkins and Agnes Green; brother in law, Ulysses Butts; her good friend, Lucille McGill; her caretaker and granddaughter, Keitheisha Turner; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
