

Mitchell Henry Anthony, age 75, passed away Saturday, June 26th at Kindred Hospital in Ft. Worth. Mitchell “Mickey” Anthony was born January 7th, 1939 in Johnson County, Texas, his was a home birth. He spent his school years in Kennedale and graduated high school at Trimble Tech in Ft. Worth. Soon after that is when he married his lifelong love, Rebecca McLeroy. And Becky was at his side until the moment he passed. Mitchell worked as a brick mason all of his life and for 34 years shared the job site with his son Monty. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and vacationing with his family, later it was cows and the garden and playing with his grandchildren. The last few years Mitch and Becky spent traveling in their trailer making friends from everywhere and carving. He loved to carve and won many awards with his talent. This May he celebrated 41 years sober in Alcoholics Anonymous. Mitch was a member of Palo Pinto County Cowboy church.
He was preceded in death by his Father, H.J. Anthony; Mother, Gladys Cline Anthony; Sister, Peggy June Higdon; and Great-Grandson, Kaleb Robert Fink.
He is survived by his Wife, Rebecca; Son, Monty and wife Shelly; Daughter, Merit Fink and husband Gary; Grandchildren, Kelle & Damian Haller, Joshua & Kristina Fink, Nathan & Megan Fink, and Kori & Jason Norris; 4 Great-Granddaughters and 4 Great-Grandsons
We will all miss his spirited nature, sense of humor and loving heart.
