She was born near Rio Vista in Johnson County, Texas on January 27, 1938.
Modine was a hard working, devoted, wife, mom and grandmother. She was educated in Cleburne ISD, was a dedicated Christian, member of Worth Baptist, and a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Modine was preceded in death by her husband Bill Souther; father, Milton ”Buddy” Lancaster; mother Violet McVIckers; and sister Rosalyn White.
Modine is survived by her brother, Wesley Lancaster and wife Kerri of Grandview; daughter Vickie Gentry and husband William of Granbury; sons Jimmy Roe and wife Patti of Thornton, Kevin Roe and wife Joy of Burleson, Evan Souther of Moody AFB, Georgia and step-son Mike Souther of Glenn Heights. She had 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grands, and 2 great greats; numerous sister and brother-in-laws, a niece and nephews.
The family wishes to deeply thank the staff of The Courtyards of Granbury, nurses of Community Hospice of Texas, members of Worth Baptist Church, and sisters of Order of the Eastern Star #835, and brothers Southside Lodge #1114.
