It is with profound sorrow and the deepest love that we announce the passing of Nancy Ann Edson on June 10, 2026. She departed this world at the well-lived age of 84, leaving behind a legacy as vast and warm as the Texas sky she called home.
Nancy was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she graced.
Born Nancy Ann Hall on August 30, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of Samuel Harrison Hall and Dorothy Ola Hall. From her earliest days, Nancy possessed a spirit that could light up any room — outgoing, joyful, and utterly unforgettable. She was sharp-minded and strong-willed, a force of nature who met every challenge head-on and loved every person in her life with her whole heart and then some.
Nancy gave everything she had to the people she loved. She worked harder than anyone around her, not out of obligation, but because that was simply who she was. She found deep purpose and joy in the land — working alongside her family on the ranch, caring for the horses, baling hay under the open sky, and riding the tractor well into her later years. The ranch wasn't just a place to her. It was an expression of her soul.
She was devoted to her husband, her sister, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren — and they were, without question, her greatest pride.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of many years, James L. Edson.
