

A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Arlington, located at 313 N Center Street, Arlington, Texas 76011. A Private Graveside Service for the family will be held at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
Nancy was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to Jack and Dorothy Jordan on April 22, 1942. She went to school at Polytechnic High School in Ft. Worth, Texas, Class of 1960. She married David Lee Morrison, her best friend and love of her life, on July 1, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1974, she graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science and went on to earn a Master's of Art in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1983. She worked as an elementary public school teacher for Arlington Independent School District and Mansfield Independent School District for more than 30 years.
She was a lifelong Methodist, an early member of Trinity United Methodist Church and, most recently, an active member at First United Methodist Church of Arlington along with being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Nancy loved shopping, sweets, reading, spending time with her beloved husband, traveling, and being best friends with her five grandchildren. She was generous, kind, interested, and loyal traits that make such a difference in our world.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father Jack Jordan and mother Dorothy Jordan of Acton, Texas, and brother Don Jordan of Boulder, Colorado.
Nancy is survived by a devoted and loving family, including husband David Morrison of Arlington, Texas; son Scott Morrison and wife Lisa of Grand Saline, Texas; daughter Sidney Barton and husband Tim of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren Elise Morrison of Dallas, Texas; Andrew Barton of Orlando, Florida, and his fiancée Maria Tadros; Jake Morrison of San Antonio, Texas, and his fiancée Marissa Gregory; Luke Morrison of Bakersfield, California; and Natalie Barton of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in honor of Nancy to First United Methodist Church of Arlington.
The family of Nancy wishes to extend our sincere thanks to our family and friends who have surrounded us with faith, love, and devotion, as well as the medical team at Arlington Memorial Hospital who cared for Nancy so well.
