Naomi Ruth Wolfe was born December 17, 1929, in Houston, TX. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great Great-Grandmother and Friend to so many people. She peacefully passed away on Sept 14, 2020 in her sleep in Fort Worth, TX. Her final days were in Hospice at Community Healthcare of Texas and the family was blessed to be able to spend time with her there. Until COVID she was enjoying time going to eat out with Patti, attending her Church First Baptist Hurst, going to lunch with the Lunch Bunch, attending Eastern Star meetings and always making plans. Naomi moved to Hurst in 1962 and then back to Houston in 1974. She moved back to Hurst again in 2008 to be close to Patti. She was always known by others to be an energetic morning person. She stayed busy with a project going all the time. She was always there for anyone that needed her, she loved to cook. She was proud to be called a Past Worthy Grand Matron of Texas, in the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her sister Laura Sharp and her husband Richard, and her sister-n-law Beverly Smith, by her daughter, Patti Gregory and her husband Doug. Her grandchildren, Michael McCoy. Guynn Lynn, Chris Harrison, Rachel Shulman, and Megan Gregory. Her Great-Grandchildren, Josh Lynn, Rylei Lynn, Alex McCoy, Vivian McCoy, Bren Harrison, Aubrey Harrison, Ryker Shulman, Sloan Shulman and her Great-Great grandaughter Saylor Lynn and many neices and nephews. She is smiling down on us from heaven with her parents Lucille Smith & William Guynn, her brothers Jerry Guynn and Elza Smith, and her husband Bob.

Naomi and I became good friends the year that the church mature adults spent several days in Branson. We were roommates and shared many special blessings about family and friends as well as our relationship with Jesus Christ. Naomi will be missed by us all. She had a very kind spirit and always wanted to be of help.

I was proud to be one of her deputies from District 1. I traveled more than I ever had and met more people who became friends. That was all because of Naomi. I will miss her very much. We had reunions every year for a while. I will miss seeing her. She was a kind thoughtful person. To the family, thank you for sharing her with her Eastern family.

My fondest memories of Naomi were always of her home during the holidays when I was a kid. Her Christmas tree was impeccably decorated and had the most fun and interesting ornaments. There were always hidden jems to be found if you explored it closely enough. There might be something that lit up all by itself or an insanely ornate piece that couldn’t help but catch your eye.

I also remember being around the house at Thanksgiving. Her table always had excessive amounts of food and the meal typically started mid day, but effectively lasted all day with bouts of naps on reclining chairs with football in the background to recover between servings.

These thoughts remind me how much she loved and cared for her family. She was a wonderful grandmother.

To the Family of Naomi Wolfe,
It was a pleasure to know Naomi. I got to know her better when we made a rode trip to Houston for a Eastern Star Chapter Meeting. I had a great time talking with her as we made the trip there and back home. After the first trip we made I truly felt I had a great new friendship and was honored to have someone like Naomi to call my friend. I will miss her.
Star Love.

Naomi was so interested in everything, family, church, friends, and all activities.
She was always eager to help wherever there was a need, many times heading the committee.
She was kind and generous, many of us benefited from that generosity. She gave us clothing she no longer could wear and her clothes were so nice.
She would help when a meal was needed for a friend that was ill or recuperating. She was a very good cook.
Naomi was a dear, sweet lady and will be greatly missed.

So sad to hear of this sweet one's passing. She truly was a grand lady and one of the best friend's I ever had in the OES family. I truly enjoyed all our time together...some of my most cherished memories of my life were spent in her presence & by her side as her Grand Organist. She was a true champion for fairness & honesty. I love you dearly, Naomi Wolfe.
Lovingly yours, Marilynn Lee
