

Funeral services are slated for visitation, 6-8 pm Monday and funeral, 2 pm Tuesday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Neil was a man of much joy. Born in Houston in 1943, he became a Christian at the age of eleven and joined Oak Forest Baptist Church. Also at a young age, he began his work career as a paperboy for the Houston Chronicle. After graduating from Reagan High School, he attended the University of Houston. Neil served in the Texas National Guard and was stationed at Fort Polk. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Carol Volking. Upon retirement as an electrician from Houston Electric and Power, and Bayer Chemical, he and Carol moved the Benbrook, Texas. There they joined the Trinity Hills Baptist Church where they developed many Christian friends. The pastor, Dr. Larry Sanders and their Sunday School Class prayed and ministered in many ways for them as Neil’s health deteriorated.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents, Hushel Neil and Myrtle Battle Stacy.
Neil is survived by Carol, his wife of 47 years, two sons, Dwayne Alexander Stacy of Baytown and Glen Alan Stacy of Benbrook and two grandchildren, Amanda Stacy of Baytown and Grant Stacy of Snyder. Other surviving family members, a brother, Jerry Stacy and wife Helen of Conroe, and sister Judy Driskell and husband Ronnie of Thorton, Texas, sister-in-laws, Linda Volking of Huntsville and Cheryl Fortner and husband Herschell of Benbrook, and many nieces and nephews.
