Nora Jane Davis

Nora was born on February 1, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ebbie and Roy Banes. She lived a life centered on family, love, and faith, finding joy in caring for those around her and creating lasting memories with the people she loved most.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Wilson and husband Tracy Wilson, and Michael Kenney and wife Dana Kenney; and her stepchild, Robert Davis and wife Carrie Davis. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Sherri Wendler, Robert Comer, Brayden Kenney, and Nathan Davis; great-grandchildren, Trevor Wendler and Alaylah Wendler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward “Ed” Davis; her parents, Ebbie and Roy Banes; her son, Gary Kenney; her stepson, Gary Davis.

Nora found great happiness in traveling and was especially known for hosting her annual family Christmas parties, which brought everyone together year after year. She had a special love for caring for her backyard birds, always making sure they were well fed—whether hummingbirds or others who visited. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and tradition.

She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the joy she found in bringing people together. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

Viewing will be held May 6,2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home 7100 Crowley rd , Fort Worth, TX 76134.
