

Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth, Dr. Randy Hatchett officiating. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park alongside her mother and five siblings. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Lynn was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Fort Worth. She was the daughter of Jesse Myrtle Renfro and Ira Addison Stillman.
Lynn and her husband, the late Rev. Don D. Lavender, served as Baptist missionaries to the Philippine Islands in the 1950s-1960s. She retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth. She enjoyed traveling to faraway places. Her favorite place being Ireland, home of her favorite Irish singer, Daniel O'Donnell. Lynn was a longtime member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst and presently at Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Sherman.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, the Rev. Don. D. Lavender; and her second husband, James Tinsley Griffin.
Survivors: She is survived by her children, Donna Lavender Beaver and husband, Gary, of Sherman, Darrel Lavender and wife, Sherry, of Wichita, Kan., Paul Lavender and wife, Cathy, of Andover, Kan., John Mark Lavender and Philip Lavender of Sherman; grandchildren, Tracey Beaver Krider and husband, Stuart, Lori Beaver Longtin and husband, Mark, Bryan Beaver and wife, Susan, all of Sherman, Jason Lavender and wife, Heidi, Kimlin Lavender Ackerson and husband, Shaun, Emily Lavender Vanderburgh and husband, William, all of Wichita, Kan., Paul Lavender II of Sydney, Australia, and Ben Lavender of Hurst; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends at the White Settlement Senior Center in Fort Worth; and her friends in Sherman.
