A Visitation will be held at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary Service at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N Davis Dr, Arlington, Texas 76012, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park. Reception will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church following the burial.
Nuong was born Vientiane, Laos to Ann Phan and John Phan on July 14, 1953 and immigrated to the United States in 1975. She married Dr. Roberto Rodriguez on October 6, 1979 in Amarillo, Texas. Nuong was a proud mother to four children and raised them in Amarillo until moving to Arlington in 2000. She worked with her husband at their family medicine clinic for ten years.
She became a loving grandmother in 2006 and had nine grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, siblings, and vacationing. Her favorite destination was Thailand. She was gifted at many things and cherished praying the rosary, loved cooking large meals for her family, drawing, crafting, and playing Pokemon Go. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and was a devout Catholic. Nuong lived each day with a positive outlook and a joyful heart.
Nuong is preceded in death by her parents John Phan and Ann Phan, her sister Ha Phan, brothers Long Phan and Thai Phan.
Nuong is survived by her husband Dr. Roberto Rodriguez; her children: Delia Castro, Sal Castro, Myra Stringer, Matthew Stringer, Gina Rodriguez, Matt Fulwiler, and Robert Rodriguez; her grandchildren: Claire Rodriguez, Samantha Michaels, Robert Rodriguez, Ryan Michaels, Berkley Stringer, Carley Stringer, Noah Castro, Hailey Stringer, and Charlotte Fulwiler; her brothers and sisters: Thé Phanavanh, Tinh Phan, Thoa and Quang “Phil” Chung, Tam and Bace Lakhaysy, Hang Phan, Phu Phan, Dat Phan, and Dai Phan.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Michaels, Matthew Stringer, Dai Phan, Dat Phan, Bace Lakhaysy, Phil Chung, Thé Phanavanh and Tinh Phan.
