

Odessa Faye Jackman, 89, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in Burleson, TX. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Born on October 31, 1935, in Commerce, TX, and was the daughter of William Marvin Haddock and Elsie Pipkin. After graduating from high school, she studied in elementary education and went on to teach in the Fort Worth Independent School District until her retirement in 1995.
In 1955, Odessa married Charles Jackman, and together they raised two children, Bobby Lee and Julie Ann, in Fort Worth, TX. She was a devoted mother and took great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Odessa was an avid reader and gardener, delighting in planting a colorful array of flowers each year. She was known for her strength, faith, and genuine kindness, and she was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her siblings: sister, Maredia Cunningham; brothers, Clifton Haddock, Billy Haddock, William Haddock, and Gary David Haddock; daughter-in-law, Elaine Jones; grandchildren, Lorie Ann Carlock and Shelly Elaine Jackman; and great-grandchildren, Haylee Carlock, Tyler Carlock, and Toliver Carlock.
Odessa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Jackman; her brother, Oneal Haddock; her daughter, Julie Jackman; and her son, Bobby Jackman.
