Pansy was born to Robert and Pearl Prater in Hico, Texas on November 23, 1929. She was the eldest of four children. She was educated in a one-room school house for several years then went on to graduate from Fairy High School in Fairy, Texas in 1947.
Pansy met Carl Wiese in high school and they married on September 17, 1951. They were married for more than 64 years until Carl’s passing in 2016. They had two children, Terry Wayne and Pamela Ann.
Pansy loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed caring for her family, cooking, baking, and taking care of her garden and many plants. But she also worked outside of the home. She was employed by ALCON Laboratories and retired after 30 years of service.
Pansy put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as a child but did not make a public profession until the age of 19 or 20. She served the Lord faithfully for many years. She was a long-time member of Hallmark Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas for 60 years. She was a faithful prayer warrior, praying consistently for her family and loved ones. She had a special place in her heart for missionaries, praying for those who served the Lord in other countries.
Pansy leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her son Terry (Jennae) Wiese, her 3 grandchildren: Krista (Danny) Caldwell, Matt (Sherina) Wiese, and Zach (Jill) Wiese; 10 great grandchildren: Nate, Micah, Anna, Grace, Erynn, Titus, Benton, Macey, Isaac, and Tyler. As well as 2 sisters: Bobbie Morin and Sue Burnell, and sister-in-law Barbra Prater.
She is preceded in death by: her parents Robert and Pearl Prater, husband Carl Wiese, brother Royce Prater, and daughter Pamela Wiese.
