Patricia Ann Liles (known as Pat) passed away on September 30, 2026, after 85 years of life. She is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. She was a beloved wife and mother, and her presence will be missed by all who knew her.
Born August 26, 1941, in Houston, Texas, Patricia was the child of Robert and Evelyn Zaring. Pat had a long career dedicated to teaching elementary school children, most recently at Lily B. Clayton in Fort Worth. She also devoted years of her time and energy teaching Sunday school to preschoolers at Travis Avenue Baptist Church. She took great pleasure and pride in caring for her young grandchildren. She enjoyed scrapbooking all the memories they shared. And, she enjoyed the companionship of cats throughout her life.
Pat is survived by her husband, Cleo Merwyn Liles. Her son, Carlton Bradley Liles, and wife, Susan Liles; daughter, Leslie Ann Wood, and husband Larry Wood; daughter, Allison Liles, and husband Kent Driver. And grandchildren: Cassidy Liles; Luke Wood and wife, Amanda Wood; Laurel Ann Redd and husband, Harrison Redd; Lillian Wood; and Lydia Wood.
Pat was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother David.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Pat’s life on October 6, 2026, at 1pm, held in the Chapel of Chimes at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth (Crowley Road), with memorial service following at 2pm. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Patricia Ann Liles’ legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
