It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing: of our beloved Patricia Dianne Watson, a devoted Christian, Extraordinary Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Sorority Sister, and Friend.
Born in Marshall, Texas July 02, 1951- Departed December 02, 2023.
Patricia Watson is preceded in death by her parents Emmit Mills and Earther Lee Mills, her sister Vernelle Mills and Ruth Moore, Her brother Willie Mills and Emmitt Mills Jr.
Patricia Watson is survived by her loving and devoted family, Her loving Husband of twenty-four years Richmond Watson of Saginaw, Texas, Her Loving Daughter Kyra Mills of Grand Prairie, Texas, Her Precious Grandbabies, Brandon Bakhari Smith, B.reshai Smith, and Malla Newman all in Grand Prairie, Texas, as well as her precious Great Grand baby, Josiah Lee Smith. Her Brother, Franklin Mills of Mesquite, Texas, her sister, Dolletta Cotton of Dallas, Texas, her nieces, Arletha Kazee, Anna Moore, Lawanda Baker, Shametra Yeager Ruth, Pamela Denson, Miesha Yeager, her nephews, Corey Mills, Franklin Mills Jr, Lavictor Yeager, Danny Ray Mills and a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia Watson was a woman of excellent achievement; she graduated high school with honors and went on to excel in achieving a bachelor's degree in the field of Criminal Justice and Sociology from North Texas State University located in Denton, Texas. While attending North Texas State University, Patricia Mills Watson was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Zeta Eta Chapter in the fall of 1970 at then North Texas State University, now University of North Texas.
Her academic excellence foreshadowed a career marked by dedication and compassion. Upon completion of her education, she went on to pursue a career working for the State Board of Pardons and Parole for over two decades and Serviced as a Supervisor and Trainer in both Dallas and Tarrant County.
She worked tirelessly to rehabilitate adults, both young and old, ensuring that each. life she touched was given the support and guidance to find a better path. Her impact extended far and was felt by all who knew her. she retired from State Board of Pardons and Parole, ending over twenty-five years of dedicated service.
Though her earthly presence is no longer with us, the love, wisdom, and vibrant light she shared will endure in our hearts forever.
May Patricia Dianne Watson rest forever in Eternal Peace.
